" Drum, Dance, Pray for Peace"

August 27

About

White Buffalo Day was founded by Reverend David “Goat” Carson and ordained by 19th Generation Keeper of The Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, Chief Arvol Lookinghorse. White Buffalo Day is a celebration of the teachings of Unity and Peace inspired by the potent cultural exchanges that occurred during late August 1994 in Congo Square, Arizona, Janesville, and in countries around the world. The birth of The White Buffalo during that week was a sign that these exchanges of mutual respect, and good medicine between nations should continue. In the subsequent years, many elders, medicine people, and representatives from cultures around the world have collaborated on this project to heal our past and restore our future.
